300 a Month, Menu, and Goals

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Holy Cow, I just read last weeks 300 a month post, Seems my proof reading needs some work haha, it was horrible. Well it finally stopped snowing, now it has just turned cold.

How do you like the picture on top? It is my cousin’s daughter helping with cows. I was thinking the other day how much I love where I live, and that most of the kids here have these kind of opportunities ( I wish all kids could experience these things). I mean how many kids get a doctor set and instead of playing doctor, they are all playing vet to the cows and horses . (My daycare kids were doing this the other day lol.).

What I would like to know is where does the time go? I have all these things I need and want to get done and it seems I only get a few things if even that . I have got to figure out how to get more organized, Although I have been trying to get organized for the past 30 plus years. Guess there is always hope haha.

300 A Month

Didn’t do as good as last week that is for sure. City market had shredded cheese on sale for 4.99 for 2 pounds so I got 5 bags to put in the freezer, I also got 2 tubs of sour cream, a few boxes of pasta, 3 boxes of taco shells ( I need to get my own made), a box of tea bags, a container of coffee creamer, I splurged and bought a frozen pizza for Andy’s supper, and a loaf of wheat bread for Andy ( no I didn’t get bread made again this week 🙁  ). Everything except the bread and pizza was on sale.

I spent 39.84 so add that to the 154.41 I have already spent for the month and it is 194.25. That leaves me 175.79 for the rest of the month.

Goals

Well once again I wasn’t able to get very much done in the rooms that I am switching.

I did get my bedroom deep cleaned, so this next week will be my bathroom to deep clean.

Kitchen

I need to get butter and yogurt made, before my milk goes bad. Once again I need to get bread made ( It is going to happen one of these days I promise.) I have a few oranges, grapefruit and lemons left that I need to do something with so I am going to try and get started on those this week.

Sewing Table,

I did get Katie’s pants mended but that was about it. Hope to work on the quilt and Andy’s coverall this week.

The Fiber Basket

I did get some spinning done (I still need a lot of practice ), I started another hat for Joleen. Hoping to work a little more on the afghan in addition to the hat, and maybe get in a little spinning.

Daycare

This week we are still on the letter J, the number 5, and our bodies.

Diet and Fitness

I kind of hit a snag this week, I worked out Monday thru. Wednesday. Then Wednesday I got a little discouraged. I have been working out and not losing any weight, I didn’t workout Thursday or Friday. Katie came over Friday evening and we were talking about it and she gave me a talking too.  I have realized I have had a lot more “hidden” calories in my food and drinks thru the day. So I am addressing them and I am back on the workouts. I do have to say though I am building muscle and more endurance.

RE: The Family Cloth & reusable toilet paper / rags…

my family (and after using it, my entire extended family) has switched to an easy/cheap bidet to eliminate almost all our toilet paper use. We use something similar to this https://www.amazon.com/Luxe-Bidet-Neo-120-Non-Electric/dp/B00A0RHSJO/ref=sr_1_1?s=hi&ie=UTF8&qid=1485966617&sr=1-1 and actually, found it 2 for 1 on Groupon. The $40 would still pay for itself in spades and you will regret not having it after a short time, if you are out and about in a public restroom, and have to scrape your backside with TP! We use a family cloth basket of specific washrags to ‘dry off’ after using it. No TP and no yucky rags. Everyone wins!
