Decorate your own candles with napkins or tissue paper

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

These are so easy to make and are so cute (and inexpensive). And you can pick what ever design that you want depending on the tissue paper or napkins.

First you get some cheap pillar candles, I got mine from Wal-Mart.

Then preheat your iron on the highest setting.

If using napkins you need to separate the two plys.

Cut your tissue or napkin close to the same height as the candle. My tissue paper was a little wrinkled so I ran the iron over it to flatten it it out a little.

Then start on one side and iron your tissue paper/napkin it will melt the wax and the paper will stick. You will be able to see the difference.

Continue doing this all the way around until it’s all on. Trim the edge /seam and iron it down.

Trim the top even with the top of the candle and iron it down smooth. let the candle sit a few minutes in the mean time wipe your iron off real well to get what little bit of wax is on the iron.

then you can add embellishments to the candle if you would like.

This is the one with the napkin. We have some brand napkins that have our brand so I thought it would be cute to put on  a couple candles.

I also have some candles I am going to add some small items to. I have some really cute small crosses that I want to use.

So have you ever decorated a candle and if so how did you do it?

So cute! I have wrapped paper and jute around one and also modge podged napkins onto one. Fun to play a little, isn’t it? Thanks for sharing with SYC.
