I am starting something new. I will be doing a monthly review of the goings on around here.

So here are a few things from January,

We had Andy’s Moms 90th Birthday party. Had a potluck and a music jam had a great turn out.

Had our first calf not sure if she was way late or way early. We brought Bella home finally she will kid in March so I will be able to start milking her soon after that so excited to be getting fresh milk.We went to the National Western Stock Show in Denver. it was a lot of fun I always love going and we hadn’t been in a few years. This was up on the walkway you can see so much up here, it runs the length of all the pens so you can see more of the animals from up there then you can on the ground.

We went to the rodeo the first night there and come to find out Tanner rode the next night ( He is a kid that grew up with my kids and he is doing great in the saddle bronc riding, Went to college on a rodeo scholarship pretty sure he is going to go far in the rodeo) super bummed I missed it, he placed that night and in the overall.

We also went to the wild west show. It was fun to watch all the different events. This stagecoach was way cool and the horses were beautiful.

While we were in Denver we went to the outdoor expo.at the Denver convention center. They had this there to show how destructive the mussels are. This had only been in the water a few months.

Here is the big blue bear that stands outside the convention center. This is from the inside.

This is from the outside, he is huge you can’t really tell from the picture but he is blue.

We went through Vail on the way home. Here are the mountains in the distance.

We stayed the night in Grand Junction and went to the Cabelas there. I always love looking at all the animals.

We were going to stop at the dinosaur museum in Moab on the way home but they were closed for the season. Going to have to put that on out to do list this spring or summer.

Outside of Moab.

We got the big doors on the shop so now to start on the inside. This one is in the front and we have one on the side.

Got the cows all moved so we could start feeding. If you look at the stacks you can see Star the llama in them where he isn’t supposed to be haha. The ladies have been giving me about 5 to 6 eggs a day which is pretty good for this time of year.

Was a very busy month.
