Car Kit # 2

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
This is from a reader NPR who was kind enough to put a list together of all things that you should have in your vehicle in addition to a car kit. I can’t thank him enough for putting this together for us. It is stuff you should have in every vehicle at all times. He even priced it out and there is a total at the end of the list. You may have some of these things already in your vehicle or at home so it may not cost quite as much.

Ok, here is my main list for “stuff” for the Car Kit.
I priced most at Amazon or ????

If I was someone looking to have a vehicle I’d take a good hard look at what it takes to be stranded alone for 2-3 days…. without any outside assistance. And guess what, I hope like heck nobody ever needs this stuff.

SO take a gander and look at Rancher’s Wife’ list and come up with what you feel is needed. AND yes, My list is a little under $1000, but what’s your life worth or your Families worth????

PS; Yes I have everything in all of my vehicles. AND A Get-Home Bag when I travel more than 50 miles from home.

I might add something I always have and forgot…
A Fire Extinguisher
Kidde FA110 Multi Purpose Fire Extinguisher 1A10BC, 1 Pack
$19.99 from Amazon

One other thing I really need to say….
PLEASE please know how to use the items you have in your car, Fire Extinguisher and First Aid kits are a MUST also is the knowledge how to use them. Most Fire Stations will help and a good First Aid class.

I could never imagine coming upon a fire and not knowing how to help save someone. The Fire Extinguisher and the Seat Belt cutter could mean the difference in someone living or being burned in a Car Fire… Just something to think on….

Total Cost. $ 946.24

Once again thank you NPR for putting this together for all my readers.
