This is super easy and so much cheaper than buying store-bought.

MYO Chocolate Syrup

4 Tbsp. cocoa powder
1/2 C water
1 C sugar
pinch of salt and a dash of vanilla extract

 

Mix cocoa, water, and sugar in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and stir constantly for 3 minutes. Remove from heat and add salt and vanilla. Store in refrigerator. When the girls were home I would store in an old chocolate syrup bottle and they never knew the difference. Haha they have no idea how much homemade stuff they ate that they thought was store-bought.

 

Use just like store bought, over icecream, in milk for chocolate milk or where ever you want some extra chocolate.
