Happy New Year

Happy new year 2020

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and wishing you a great New Year. After a lot of thought and prayers, I will be continuing with the blog. I feel like this is something I need to do. It looks like we are heading into some rough times and if I can help even one person get ready and be able to survive and thrive then it will be worth it. And to be honest I have missed working on it.

I was unable to reduce my debt last year because my income ( I was doing good to get the bills paid and thank goodness for my food storage) had dropped substantially, and when I lost my sister I lost a little of my motivation. So as I said after a lot of thought, prayers and soul searching I am back at it. Hopefully bigger and better than ever starting on Monday the  6th.

I will be doing a few of the regular things, changing up a few things and hopefully bringing some new things. I will still be doing the deep pantry challenge with an open forum, The week review but will take away the menu,( this is for some family and a few friends that don’t live close) the menu will be a separate monthly post and will also include the daycare menu, the homesteading challenge, more DIY’s and from-scratch recipes, money-saving tips, a monthly post on how much debt I eliminated, and more from around the home.

Hope you will join me this year. And if you like what you see and read please share it with friends and family. Stay safe and see you next Monday.

Happy New Year to you as well. I have some debt I really need to tackle this year. That and my health are my main focus.
It does seem we are headed for rough times…depending on who you ask. Some say everything is fine. The world just seems to be growing meaner and colder. December was full of just sad things on the news all the time. My goal is to convince my husband to let me homeschool after this school year raps up.
The cost of living is so high where I’m at. I want to be fully prepared for a downturn and to drastically cut back if necessary. A garden is at the top of my to do list. I just have to learn to not be afraid of worms haha.

      Chaniqua,
Happy New Year to you as well. These are also my two main focuses this year ( I want to put 200% effort to it). And I agree things are getting uglier and uglier every day.
I really hope you can convince your Husband to home school I really feel that is the only hope for our kids right now.
haha, I am not a fan of worms either but you can do it.
We can work on our goals together since we have the same goals in mind.
      Have a great day.

    Rancher’s Wife;
I have been waiting for this post, and thank you for deciding to continue the Site/BLOG.

Will be interesting to see your changes your up to….
If you’re inclined I’d like to add an article once a month or so, maybe tossing out a little different outlook on what I see coming around the bend. Nothing to radical, so not to worry.
But it might be interesting to see the feedback from your visitors, I’m thinking more on the ideas of “100% Retirement… OHHHH NO, Now What????” sort of thing, Maybe some of the more, I hate the word “Survivalist”, but let’s say “Hard Core Prepper” stuff. NOT Doomsday Prepper, a complete farce. I always stress that Preparing is a LOT more than just stuffing the closet full of Rice/Beans/Wheat.

Anyways, Happy New Year’s to you-all, and welcome back.

BTW, is 600 rolls of TP really enough?? HAHAHA
