300 a Month, Goals, & Menu

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

I am finally getting back on track and getting caught up from last month.

This is such a bad time of year to get behind since I always stay behind anyway this time of year.
Hopefully, I can hit it extra hard the next few weeks and get somewhat caught up.

We finally got a little rain and snow the other day, not enough to really help but at least it was a little. We had to sell several pairs (cows) the other day, we are just not going to have enough pasture for all of them which was kinda sad.

A friend of ours turned an old office building into a music studio so we went and played last night for a little bit. I told Andy that we needed something like that since our house is almost to small for playing music ( we still do it but it gets a little crowded at times).

I am working on a website for S.W. farm to yarn in addition to trying to keep caught up on the fair page. Been getting busy with fair stuff again it is starting to come together, think we are going to have a pretty good one considering we got such a late start getting it put together. I am working on kids day right now trying to get everything put together for that.

I have a bottle calf I am feeding, one of the twins was just not getting enough from Mama so I am having to bottle feed it. The kids love going out and helping with that and being out there to play with the baby goat while I milk.

My chickens are doing great I am getting between 6 and 9 eggs a day pretty good for just 11 hens.

So on to 300 a month

300 a Month
I bought some mushrooms that were marked down, sure jell that was on sale, frozen ravioli, strawberries, chai tea, lettuce, bananas, dish soap ( to make a cleaner with), apple juice and some sandwich bread and milk for the daycare kids.
I spent 45.51 so that from 300 and I have 254.49 left for the month and that from 2991.42 left for the year leaves me 2945.90 for the year.

Goals

Kitchen
I am wanting to get the pineapples canned. Haven’t been able to yet waiting on them to get ripe. Need to get dandelion jelly and juice made ( juice for salves and soap), My lilacs are blooming for the first time in 5 years (woohoo)  so I will be making some lilac jelly.

Sewing Table,
Want to work on the girl’s quilts. I have Katies all cut out

and several strips sewn so hope to get the rest of the strips sewn

then cut and pieced together.

Fiber Arts,
Still working on wash clothes I want to get a lot made up so that is what I am working on in the evenings.

Yard work
Don’t even know where to start I have soo much that needs to be done, We were able to get a few raised beds put together so I want to get them planted this week. I need to get the backyard and playground area cleaned and ready for the kids to use. If I have time I need to get the herb area cleaned ( I know still haven’t got that done).

Fitness
I am back to working out pretty much took all of last month off. So wanting to keep up on that. I am back on my diet that to has suffered for the past month ( Actually it has suffered since the first of the year haha).

What I am reading
I have several things it just depends on my mood at the time as to what I am wanting to read. I love having my tablet since I can download them on there and take it with me to read when I have a few minutes while I am waiting for whatever.

I just finished Trumpocalypse: by Paul McGuire and Troy Anderson, it was very good it tied the Bible into what is happening in the world today. A real eye-opener to say the least.

I have a few things I am reading now. I am rereading Tox-Sick by Suzanna Sommers it is about all the toxins in our everyday

lives and the effects they are having on our health.

I am also rereading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand I love this book even though it takes forever to read, If I didn’t know better I would think it was written today but it was written in 1957.

I am also reading Game of Thrones I am on the first book.

Music
We have started taking a little different approach to my lessons instead of trying to do several things I am going to focus on one or two since my practice time is limited this way hopefully I can get it down a little better.

    Ranchers Wife;
    Saw your buying Pectin,
Might I suggest Hoosier Hill Fruit Pectin, 2 lb bag
I get it over on Amazon for $16.49 for a 2# bag, last forever.
Would suggest buying only one bag, not 4 like I did… HAHAHAHA
