Throw Back Thursday, Pt 3

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
I am starting something new. I am going to do a throwback Thursday. I am going to share a few things from my old blog, mostly pictures and some of the things we did when the girls were younger. So this week is 4th of July a few years back. I love Silverton pretty sure if there were any way possible I would live there, year-round at that haha. ( In the winter you usually can’t get in or out because of the snow). It has been a couple of years since we have gotten to go which is sad since it use to be a yearly thing for my family.

You can go here for Part 1 and here for Part 2.

We got back home pretty late so just went to bed. The next morning we got up and went to the river. Andy’s family and friends always go down there to play music on the forth. By the time we got there a lot of people had already left so we found a place to park and set up camp. The girls set their tent up next to the pickup.

Hard to believe that in previous years we would raft down this.

Some places are just puddles it is so sad. Hopefully next year it will have some more water in it.

Sure is different country than where we just came from.

A few of them playing. Wasn’t a lot of people left so not to many players.

Andy playing his fiddle.

We got up the next morning and headed home to get ready for the work week. It was a good long weekend.

I hate to sound stupid (any more that I already do) But is that the Animas up your neck of the woods? From the lack of water it looks more like the La Plata……

      NRP,
It is the Dolores River. This was in 2013 they weren’t letting out much water that year. Not sure how it looks this year. We were going to go down there the weekend before the forth but don’t look like that will get to happen this year. 🙁
