200 A Month, Menu, & Goals

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Can’t believe it has been almost a month since I posted this. I muffed up my right shoulder pretty good and couldn’t even type or do much of anything. It is getting a little better I can use it if I don’t overdo it. Been to the chiropractor several times ( a few more to go) and been sitting on an ice pack most of the time so I haven’t been able to get much of anything done so now I am even more behind on everything. I do have to say I generally have a pretty high pain tolerance but the first couple weeks it hurt so bad I just wanted to sit and cry and over the counter pain meds wouldn’t even touch it. So I have been giving a lot of thought to what a person needs to do for pain in a  situation where you can’t get any help. I will have more on that later.

We have gotten so much snow ( which we desperately need). Thank goodness it melts a little in between storms it is up to my windows on the back side of the house pretty sure the windows would be covered if some of it hadn’t melted off.  We are running out of places to pile it haha. I am so glad we don’t calve early like some do our first calf isn’t due till the 2nd week of March so hopefully it will warm up a little by then. I have lost a couple of chickens to the cold I do have a light in the coop to help keep it warm but it went out one night and that is when I lost the first one and the second one I am not sure what happened since the light was working. Although it was a night that got down below zero and we had a pretty good wind with it.

The second weekend of this month was the cattlemen’s banquet. It was a lot of fun got to see and visit with people I don’t get to see very often I did have a couple adult beverages which I have to say help numb the pain in my arm and shoulder.

Here is a picture of this year’s brand quilt which we didn’t win again this year. I keep saying I am going to make our own really need to get that done.

The next day we took 3 trailers to get some hay. They are in a pretty flat area and the drifts across the roads were crazy I had to put it in four wheel drive to get through a couple of them.

The next weekend I worked on the house what little I could I am painting the inside doors so started on that but the color was way too dark so had to put that on hold till I could get some lighter paint.

It has been one of those when it rains it pours haha. First, my phone broke so had to get another one. Good thing I don’t have to have the high dollar ones I just get one of the cheaper Samsung phones ( pretty much like what I already had) which will do pretty much everything I need it to do. They had one phone there for 1500 dollars I am sorry but I just can’t see how you can justify that expensive of a phone.

And then the one time I can actually sit here and watch a movie on Netflix my router goes out. They are sending a new one.

Last weekend was the fire dept. banquet. Was lots of fun as usual.

Haha maybe a little to fun. I love our department.

One thing about it being laid up you don’t spend much money. The first weekend I was down I went to City Market and had planned on going to Wal-Mart but by the time I was done in City Market I was in so much pain, I just came home. I got spinach, cabbage, lettuce, butter, chips, pizza, brown sugar and powder sugar 9 both were on sale), I also got some apple strudels that were marked down for Andy’s snack ( knew I wasn’t going to be doing much cooking) and a pizza. So I spent 28.79. That is all I have spent for Feburary One of the only good things of me being laid up haha. I have 171.21 left for the month and 2245.80 left for the year

      NRP,
Thanks hopefully I am back full time haha, Still hurts a little to type but not to bad haha.

      You’re doing great lol.

It has been so nasty here we did get a bunch of rain and it melted a lot of snow ( still a lot left though) but we are so muddy now pretty sure the mud is knee deep down at the corrals trying not to whine since we need it so bad haha. I do know I am ready for spring and some warm weather.

      Have a great day,
