Cancer journey Update and What I am Taking.

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

It has been a while since I have done an update. I did on on the youtube channel several months ago. I will be doing an updated one hopefully today.

I will do a quick overview here. I will also add my protocol at the bottom of this.

In October I went to my appointment and it was decided that the chemo I was on wasn’t working anymore. They had a different chemo they wanted to start me on but we needed to wait on insurance approval. After a little over a week of waiting to hear from them they denied it.  So back to the drawing board, they then decided to put me on a pill form of chemo. It was close to a month and a half before I was put back on chemo. In the meantime there was a lot of growth. And I also fell off the diet wagon bad.

I did a ct scan at that time and it showed some shrinkage and some die-off n the center. The spots on the liver and gallbladder were pretty much the same. I have a pet scan scheduled for the 13th of this month.

I started on the pills I had to take them every 12 hours and had to eat with them which messed up my intermittent fasting. It was kind of hard since I have never been a breakfast, early morning eater. And I am not a late-night eater. I think that is why intermittent fasting is so easy for me to do. So having to eat at these times and having to eat a fair amount so it didn’t make me sick, I was still not on my diet as good as I should be. I was on them for four months and it got the tumor shrunk down a lot. Then all the sudden it stopped working and I had a lot of growth again. They also made me super tired and made my stomach hurt. I did uptake my fluid intake and that helped with the stomach pain.

My cancer markers were holding at 70, right before I had to stop the first time they had gone down to 63. Then they started going up monthly, 63, 75,111,103,96,101, and now 105. I am hitting it hard now with no cheats. I want to get them down below the 63.

I went to the Doctor last Friday and she took me off the pills and is going to try and get approved for the stuff they had wanted to put me on before. I did change insurance at the first of the year so hopefully, it will get approved quickly.

I am back on the diet and starting intermittent fasting again. Hoping to get my energy built back up. I can hardly get off the couch and all I want to do is take naps. Makes it hard to get anything done.

I did start a couple of new things in my protocol and had to take a couple of things off due to the cost.

I am reading a couple of books that have been very helpful and if you know anyone with any type of cancer I highly recommend these books.

The Metabolic Approach to Cancer

How to starve cancer

Here is what I try to do and take every day. I will admit some days it doesn’t all happen but I am trying. I haven’t started walking or working out yet which I am hoping to get started this week.  Also, a lot of these things are not FDA-approved treatments for cancer just things that have worked for others.

And a disclaimer I am not a Doctor or healthcare provider. Just doing the things I have researched and feel is best for me.

I try to drink at least 90 ounces of water, I do try for a little more. For some of the water I add a half teaspoon of baking soda.

At around 5 PM I want to do a workout. And at about 3ish I will walk. I want to build up to at least 5 miles. Right now I will walk on the treadmill until the weather gets better.

I Start the day with a cup of black coffee (it helps to heal the liver), then 1 or 2 cups of warm lemon water with cayenne pepper,  A few sips of celery juice (about ½ cup several times a day) then a few large glasses of dried lemon, vinegar, and saltwater in addition to the water I drink than in the evening at least 2 cups of herbal tea with soursop tea.

Instead of explaining what each of these supplements do, I will try to do one once a week when I don’t have an update.

Thank you for sharing your update with us. It sounds like you have been through a lot with the changes in your chemo treatment and the growth that occurred during the waiting period. I hope the pill form of chemo is working well for you and that you are able to get back on track with your diet. How do you stay motivated during these difficult times and what advice do you have for others going through cancer treatment?
