Canning/Dehydrating/ Freezing Challenge

Print Friendly, PDF & Email
Well, Just when I thought I was going to get back on track I came down with Covid, and since I always have to be a little different I had to throw in strep throat on top of that. It has been a miserable couple weeks. I think I am finally on the mend at least I hope so haha.
Before I got to sick I was able to get a few things done.

Canning
18 pints of tea concentrate.
I found whole milk on sale so I canned 7 quarts of milk
12 pints of chock cherry jelly.

Dehydrated
Several  more pounds of lemons

Freezer
A  few bananas.
I had some leftover pinto beans so I made 14  bean and cheese burritos to freeze.

I didn’t get near as much done as I had wanted to but hopefully, I can get back in the swing of it.

What were you able to get done?

Welcome back Connie, good to hear your doing better.
Welllllll, here is one for the group that store Red Wheat Berries.
Cortez Milling, the supplier I get my Berries from, is “Not selling Wheat Berries”, They are using everything they have and are expecting to get to grind into Flour…..
Think about that, A Milling Co. that has a shortage of Wheat coming in, and not selling ANY Berries.
I did politely ask what he thought the outlook is.
You’re not going to like this…….
“We expect to produce about 1/2 to 3/5’s the normal year’s amount of Flour”
