Time to start getting ready for Christmas

So there is only 123 days till Christmas. It sounds like a lot but it really isn’t.  With the economy is in a downward spiral and the future of it isn’t looking real good at the moment. We are in the beginning stages of severe economic depression, along with Inflation and the upcoming food shortages.

So with this in mind, I am going to put this out there.

Not only is money more than likely to be extra tight this Christmas throw in the shortages and inflation and it is going to be rough. So now is the time to make that list and decide who you are giving gifts to and what you are going to give. By starting now you have time to shop for sales, or make your gifts and get them ordered now so there is plenty of time to get them and if there is a shortage you will already have it or have it ordered. If you wait till right before Christmas there may not be much to choose from and if you do happen to find it it might be to expensive to buy.

I plan to make a lot of the gifts this year, especially since I don’t have much income coming in now.

If making your gifts get an idea of how long it will take to finish each project and put some time aside each week or each day to work on them. If you are not sure of what you want to make Pinterest has a ton of ideas and tutorials. After you decide what you are making start getting the supplies now. This is another area where we are already starting to see some shortages.

If you don’t feel like you can make any gifts start shopping the sales and don’t forget the yard sales and second-hand stores. You can pick something up from these places and then add new paint to jazz it up to fit the personality of whoever you are giving it to.

Don’t forget that home-canned foods are always a big hit. When making jellies, jams, etc. plan on making a few for gifts. You can put them in smaller jars or larger ones depending on who you are giving them to.

So by planning and starting now you will have gifts that are low cost and nice without the hassle of stressing over trying to find or trying to afford what you would like to give.

So what do you think? Do you want to start now to avoid the hassle and shortages as it gets closer?
